Before you read this post, I would like to invite you to my very first text on this blog, also titled “A Bridge Between Worlds.” I wrote it in June last year, when the blog was just beginning, when I was starting to discover myself and learn who “Simply Me” truly was.
It was a moment of awakening to myself – the first time I looked into the mirror without turning away.

A Year Has Passed: An Anniversary of Endings and New Beginnings

A year has passed since the separation.
Since the house was put on the market.
Since I began to feel that, at last, I was making conscious decisions – choices that were true to who I was. And although it was not always easy, I kept letting go of everything that no longer served me.

Looking back now on the past several years – from the moment I planted the seed called “I don’t want to live this way,” to where I am today – and knowing how consistently I have been peeling back one layer after another, I can honestly say that I had no idea how hard it would be.

“My Camino”

Two years ago, I set out alone on my pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago.
I remember very clearly the moment that desire first appeared. At first, it was only a thought – when I first heard about the route, I remember thinking, “It would be wonderful to walk it one day.” Over time, that thought returned more and more often, until it finally became a decision. I also quickly felt that this was a journey I needed to take alone, in my own company.
Facebook recently brought back the memory of the first stamp in my pilgrim’s passport. That small mark was the beginning of something far greater.

Six Years Back to Myself

It has been six years since I made the decision that I no longer wanted to live this way.
On autopilot.
Trapped in patterns and beliefs that were never truly mine.
Back then, I did not know what I wanted.
