Simply Me – Po prostu Ja

Life After Life

And so, a new chapter in my life begins. Once again – but for the first time with full awareness – I am choosing my own path. Not because it is expected of me, and not because someone else would want it that way.
I think of it as a kind of life after life.
I built the first one on everything that had been instilled in me, passed down to me, and accepted as my own: a worldview, culture, family beliefs, and the beliefs imposed by the system.
Today, I am grateful both for that life and for the one I am just beginning.
I am learning who I am. Looking at myself from every angle. Noticing what truly belongs to me and what does not. I am becoming braver and braver, and I am remembering that I was like this as a child and as a teenager too. I spoke openly about what I thought. I stood up for others, often without considering the consequences.
The last few years have shown me how deeply I had been living a life that was not truly mine. And the last fourteen months have shown me how much I am capable of enduring. How many times I can fall, give up for a moment, and then rise again stronger and even more certain that I am moving toward the sunlight I love so much. Toward my own path – and no one else’s.
Partly on my own, and partly with the angels who support me and lift my wings. I am fortunate to have angels here on earth, and others already up above.
Part of this journey is behind me, but the last few days have shown me that it will not become any easier now. The time has come when I am no longer the person I used to be. A new version of me is taking shape.
I am learning how to respond when something hurts me. Perhaps I am not yet able to cry out loudly, but I can quietly let go. I can choose the emotions that nourish me instead of the ones that drain my strength.
And simply accept that someone may be projecting their own filters onto me. Not take it personally. Let it pass. Leave it behind. And in the silence, alone with myself, rebuild who I am step by step, with love and in harmony with myself.
I believe it is truly a blessing that I have been given this second life – both literally and metaphorically.
Literally, because the accident I survived could have ended very differently. Not everyone is given a second chance.
Metaphorically, because many people never realise that they are living a life that is not truly their own. And even when they do realise it, for many different reasons they remain in it until the end – in sadness, frustration, or simply on autopilot.
So yes.
Today, I am grateful for what was.
Grateful for what is.
And grateful for my second life.

Today’s affirmation:

“With courage, I choose my own path.
I leave behind what is no longer mine.
My second life begins now.”
