Today, I met Simply Me.
She wrapped her arms around me, and in that moment, we both knew that from now on, we would walk this path together.
The search has come to an end. Symbolically, we closed the chapter in which each of us had been searching alone and opened a new one – a chapter of creating a shared path.
No, this does not mean we will never search again. We will still look for answers, discover new places, and explore new directions. It simply means that now we know which way to go. That is why I deliberately say “we” – Simply Me and I.
I no longer believe that there is only one version of who we are. There are many. Only when we begin to notice, understand, and accept them all – both the parts we love and those we would rather hide from the world – do we truly begin to know ourselves.
Often, it is our shadow that shows us the way forward and reveals what still needs our attention. It stops being the enemy and becomes a guide.
I no longer doubt that hidden within the word “life” is a journey – and a constant search. Once we accept this, we suddenly begin to see how every piece of the puzzle falls into place. We understand how necessary each part was, even the ones we once could not make sense of. Without every single one of them, the full picture could never have emerged.
I feel that a new chapter has opened before me. Today, all I can see is a door standing wide open. I do not yet know what lies beyond it. And perhaps, for the first time in my life, I do not need to know.
I feel peaceful despite the uncertainty. Grateful despite the fear. And deep within me, I know that I am exactly where I am meant to be.
Fate, life… lead the way.
